Sally Graham

Sally Graham is nurse manager and breast care nurse at Mater Private Breast Cancer Centre. She took her Bachelor of Nursing from QUT in 1995 and completed her Graduate Diploma in breast care nursing at La Trobe University in 2005.

Sally has pursued her special interest in breast reconstruction during her time with the centre, producing a DVD in collaboration with the Cancer Council Queensland entitled Breast Reconstruction—is it for me?, which has since become a national resource.

Sally initiated the publication of a book for young children called What’s happening to my mummy? which is produced and available through Cancer Council Queensland. She has also been instrumental in developing and introducing a program for mothers of children under the age of 18, Mindful parenting in the context of breast cancer. It aims to teach breast cancer patients new skills to help the whole family communicate about cancer and treatment.
