Mater Private Breast Cancer Centre provides expert assessment, investigation, treatment and advice for breast problems and disease. It has been operating since 1996 under the name Mater Private Breast Cancer Unit, meeting the community's need for multidisciplinary management of breast disease.

The Centre's breast care nurses provide emotional, practical, educational and social support to women and their families during the stay in hospital and after discharge. These nurses can be met by appointment or as a "drop in" service as well.
